I continue to be impressed by the low key and personalized atmosphere at Mataga. And even though I no longer work nearby (and live ~75 miles away) I continue patronize them because I feel they have earned my loyalty. In fact, I recently had a quasi-emergency repair made by a highly regarded (and local) independent mechanic but subsequently began seeing a check engine light. Said mechanic seemed predisposed to indifference, so when I was there for a routine oil change I asked them to scan the code. Which they did and immediated spotted the problem (a disconnected hose) and something an expensive local mechanic was too busy and too indignant to investigate.

It took 6 days to fix the electrical issues and a second attempt at interior rattles. Rattles still exist; 2 MISSING pieces have A backorder of 6 weeks. Communication is complicated there. No one seems to talk within the warranty department, and no one seems to know the answer to "Was the other missing part ordered?" It is always "I'll have someone call you back," but they never do.

The fix was all covered under warranty; another good thing. Ozzie kept me informed of the progress. It appears we ordered several parts for your Acadia, one being a harness that took us a while to get. We, the dealership, do not have control over parts, once it's ordered from GM we wait until GM releases the part. Currently GM is encountering issues with parts and getting them to the dealerships. If we have the part, we get the vehicle out. My apologies but I am glad that our dealership staff provided you with a 5-star service. We wish you the best and look forward to your next visit. The only thing I did not like snd I know it was already late night was the fact that my vehicle was not even cleaned. Yes I know that it will be detailed when they do the Cilajet service. But all the past vehicles that I have purchased, the delivery of the vehicle has always been clean and it’s such a simple step and it was a put off when I brought the car home to show it to my wife.

Arrived about 15- minutes early for my first service appointment scheduled at 8:20am. Service representative was solo, quite busy and clearly multitasking with multiple vehicles coming in. Very cut and dry, and was informed that the service for my new 2025 EV would take approximately 2-hours and that I would receive a call when my truck was ready for pick-up. Never received a call, so I initiated outreach around 12:30ish, after being placed on hold for a few minutes was informed that the service representative was finalizing my paperwork and my truck was ready for pickup. When I arrived about 20- minutes later, my truck was still not ready, no paperwork completed and truck had not yet been washed. Waited another 45 minutes before truck was ready and representative was still flying solo, overwhelmed and clearly lacking service oriented skills.

I was met with the service rep at the time of my appointment. My vehicle was photographically inspected and driven away for the service. I was directed to wait in a customer waiting area that had creature comforts such as coffee, TV, vending machines and comfortable chairs. The service was completed in less than the timeframe promised. There wasn’t anything to be disappointed about.

Was denied a loaner vehicle due to the service advisor stating they were reserved for vehicles still within 36k mile warranty. Spent $80,000 on a truck to find it leaking water from the headliner with only 46k miles and I would have to pay out of pocket for a manufacturer’s issue… poor quality/ service from GMC.

Enterprise car rental was not good experience as they had unacceptable vehicles to rent to me and lied to me about swapping me out 3 times. The service writer originally estimated they would need my GMC acadia 2025 for 3 days. After 4 days I called and was told they need it for 8 days. GM needs to be more flexible in allowing rental vehicles other than GM when availability is not present. The service writers should have updated me about the additional time to complete warranty work.

I scheduled my Th, 12/4/25, 10:20 AM appointment a week in advance because I needed the car to get to an unrelated 2:00 PM appointment. When I checked in on 12/4/25 at 10 AM, I was told, “We’re backed up. We’ll have to keep your car all day.” I needed an oil change, and I had two warning lights lit up (check engine light and tire sensor light). So I asked, how much can you do today? Answer: “Just the oil change.” My next question, “How urgent are the others?” Answer, “You should be ok to reschedule.” So I stayed for just the oil change, which took 2,5 hours. All I got was an oil change and it took 2.5 hours!! I barely was able to get to my 2PM appt on time. If Mataga is now that inefficient, I am now considering having another dealership do my maintenance and repairs. Mataga’s service department needs better management!

Mataga arranged for the faulty paint issues to be repaired. I am very concerned about the rest of the paint peeling. I am very near my 36,0000 mile warranty. So far there has been three areas where the paint peeled. In addition, the transmission is still shifting erratically.
